I am an experienced researcher who works in the intersection between literature, culture and gender studies. I have published articles on gender in/and science fiction, fantasy, poetry and film, as well as on gendered cultural practices in South Africa. I am the editor of an academic journal, Transections: A Journal of Culture, Literature and Language, and a member of the steering group of the International Society for the Study of Gender and Love.
