I hold a PhD in Developmental Psychology and a Master of Public Health. I completed my postdoctoral work at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health's Centre for Prevention Science in London, ON and in the University of Calgary's Faculty of Social Work. I currently work as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. I am also a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Childhood Health Promotion, and the Scientific Co-Director of the Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network (PREVNet). My research focuses on school mental health, suicide prevention, bullying prevention, and teen dating violence prevention.
