- Conjoint Professor, Medicine & Health, UNSW
I am a senior respiratory physician with an academic background in research into obstructive & occupational lung disease and a long term interest in teaching and mentorship of trainees in Medicine. I graduated from Cambridge University and have a higher degree from that institution and several post-graduate qualifications including from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in Occupational Medicine. I am an active clinician who cares for many patients and have been closely involved in advocating for better preventative strategies to avoid occupational lung diseases such as silicosis, asbestosis and occupational asthma. Currently I am conjoint Professor at UNSW and Macquarie Universities, and am involved in several research projects including at the Asbestos & Dust Diseases Research Institute at Concord and with UNSW.
