I have been the Program Director of one of the largest Initial Teacher Education programs in South Australia and a Senior Lecturer in Humanities and Social Science Education. As a preservice teacher educator of 19 years, my research addresses two key strands: persistent bullying and cyberbullying; and contemporary pedagogies that maximise diverse engagement. Key areas of influence and interest are the roles of peer relationships, turning points and resilience; inclusive education and disability studies. I am an active member of the Centre for Research in Educational and Social Inclusion (CRESI) at the University of South Australia; Executive Secretary and Executive Committee member of Social and Citizenship Education Association of Australia Inc.; Founding Member and Vice Chair of the HaSS Association of Australia; and Executive Secretary of Humanities and Social Sciences South Australia.
