- Visiting professor, University of Chester
I have researched and written about the history and politics of The Gambia since the 1980s. I am the author of three books on these topics, including A Political History of The Gambia, 1816-1994 (with Arnold Hughes) and the most recent edition of Historical Dictionary of The Gambia (published in 2016). I have been a Visiting Professor at the University of Chester since 2017.
