- PhD Candidate, Macroecology, University of Birmingham
I am a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Birmingham, funded by CENTA NERC Doctoral Training Programme (DTP). For my PhD, I am assessing biodiversity change on islands through time. Previously, during my master's, I conducted fieldwork on Grand Bahama island in 2018 where I researched its pine forest birds, particularly Bahama Warbler and Bahama Nuthatch (please see: https://quantum-pulse.news/bahamas-songbird-is-under-threat-of-extinction-but-preserving-old-pine-forests-will-help-save-it-199637). To this day, I continue to make a broad range of efforts to highlight the vulnerability of these threatened bird species, as well as of the other endemic species of the archipelago.
