Danielle Le Lagadec

I obtained a BSc, B Hons, MSc and PhD in Entomology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and was involved in applied agricultural research for over 25 years. I specialised in subtropical tree crop production systems and post-harvest fruit quality control, focusing on mangoes, avocados and macadamias.
For various reasons, agricultural research funding dwindled around 2012, prompting my career change into healthcare. I obtained a B Nursing from CQUniversity in 2014 and a PhD in Nursing in 2021. I joined the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Science at CQUniversity as a lecturer in 2019 and continue to work casually in the clinical sector as a registered med-surgical nurse. I have a Scopus H-index of 8, with 19 peer-reviewed publications and 260 citations (March 2024).
