Daniel Wheatley is based in the Department of Management at the University of Birmingham. Dan's research advances knowledge on the relationship between work and well-being, including the implications of workplace change arising from technology advancements. Themes include working time, flexible working, remote and hybrid work, work-life balance, job quality, workplace well-being, commuting and business travel, and interactions between work, leisure and the household division of labour. Dan explores diverse contexts and inclusivity around gender, age and disability. He employs a range of methods including statistical analysis of large-scale secondary data and mixed method research design.
