Dr. Pastula is a board-certified neurologist, CDC-trained medical epidemiologist (EIS), and U.S. Public Health Service veteran, as well as a dedicated teacher and leader. His work spans neurohospitalist medicine, neuro-infectious and emerging infectious diseases, epidemiology and public health, health security and emergency preparedness, sustainability, public policy, and education. He brings leadership experience across university, state, and federal levels, with strengths in strategy, advocacy, policy, and communications. Much of his work focuses on translating complex science into practical, real-world action. He holds an MD and an MHS in clinical research with a focus on epidemiology, and is completing an MBA in leadership and sustainability.
