I am a postdoctoral researcher at Lattice-CNRS in Paris within the Franco-German project ComPLETE (Complex Predicates in Languages: Emergence, Typology, Evolution), focusing on complex predicates in Melanesia. The aim of this research is to establish a typology and diachronic view of serial verb constructions, verb-adjunct constructions, coverb constructions and similar phenomena in the area. I am also part of the two AHRC projects Enggano in the Austronesian family and Lexical resources for Enggano at the University of Oxford. I am a certified and sworn translator for Indonesian and Malay, listed in the official list for legal translators in Germany.

My research interests include:
- Descriptive and comparative linguistics in general
- Linguistic typology
- Historical linguistics and etymological reconstructions
- Morphosyntax, especially complex verb constructions
- Areal linguistics: Southeast Asian, Australian and Oceanic languages
- Sociolinguistics with a focus on speech level systems
- Writing systems
