Daniel is a lecturer in the Surrey Centre for Cyber Security. His research is in applied cryptography, in particular in the areas of privacy-preserving cryptography and authentication, specifically looking how to secure systems against quantum threats.

Previously he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway, University of London. Before then he obtained a PhD from the University of Surrey in 2021.
