• Lecturer in Infrastructure Planning, Bartlett School of Planning, UCL

I graduated from Swansea University in 1997 with a BSc(econ) in Social Anthropology, since then I have worked for the Health Service and have managed a Regional Design Review Panel for Inspire East, part of the East of England Economic Development Agency. I have a Master's Degree from Anglia Ruskin University in Community Economic Development and another from the Bartlett School of Planning in Spatial Planning.

I completed my PhD in 2016 on ' The role of civil society in mega-transport project decision-making: the case of the proposed high-speed rail connection, High Speed Two (HS2)' under the supervision of Professors Harry Dimitriou and Mike Raco and then briefly worked for the Cambridge Centre for Housing and Planning Research before returning to the Bartlett School of Planning to take up the role of Lecturer in Infrastructure Planning. I have been here since 2016 with a break from 2019 to 2022 when I was a Humboldt Foundation Fellow at the Integrative Research Institute on Transformations of Human-Environment Systems (IRI THESys) at the Humboldt University in Berlin.
