Daniel Calderbank is Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Glasgow. His research explores the intersections of archaeology, heritage, and knowledge production in Iraq, with particular interest in marginal landscapes. His recent work examines community engagement, heritage politics, and the archaeology of Iraq's marshes. He is co-director of the West Hammar Archaeology Project (WHAP) and Associate Director of the Sirwan Regional Project (SRP).
