Dr. Daniel Assamah is a scholar of public policy and development economics with expertise in digital labor markets, youth unemployment, and African economic development. He conducts research and teaches at Rutgers University. Dr. Assamah's dissertation examines how the global gig economy reshapes employment outcomes and migration aspirations among college graduates in Ghana. His work has appeared in academic journals and outlets including Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, Insight on Africa, and the Columbia Journal of International Affairs, and has been published by the United Nations Press and the Commonwealth Secretariat. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Ghana, an M.S. in Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi, an M.B.A. in Global Management from Kean University, an M.S. in Global Affairs from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from Rutgers University.
