Dr. Dan Li received his PhD degree in materials physics and chemistry from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 1999. After several years as a Research Fellow at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology, the University of Washington, University of California at Los Angels, and the University of Wollongong, he is now an Associate Professor at the Department of Materials Engineering, Monash University. His current research is centred on developing novel graphene-based soft materials to address the great challenges that our society is facing, such as energy, water, health care and environmental protection.
