Damon Honnery has been involved in research for more than 30 years having published more than 300 articles on a diverse range of topics including energy, climate change mitigation, fuels, energy technology and pollution. He was a lead author in 5th IPPC Climate Assessment Report and has co-authored a number of books that examine our response to the growing climate crisis. In addition to these areas he has carried out applied research across a range of industries including aerospace, automotive, rail, freight, energy, mining and pharmaceutics, He holds the position of Emeritus Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Monash University having previously held a number of seniors roles in the Faculty of Engineering.
