Damian is a medical research scientist currently investigating Regenerative Medicine and has worked previously as a genetic engineer. He is also conducting a PhD into the outcomes for donor conceived people. Damian has published in peer reviewed journals on donor conception and has presented his findings at conferences. Additionally he has published in other media on donor conception as well as appearing on television, the radio and printed press as an advocate for the rights of DC people. This advocacy and knowledge has seen him present evidence before federal and state inquiries on donor conception, and has provided evidence for the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He has successfully lobbied for legislative changes in South Australia in 2009 and is continuing to push for more changes around Australia to ensure the rights of DC people are appropriately catered for.
