Dale Langford, PhD, is a multidisciplinary pain researcher with particular expertise in pain research methodology (basic behavioral through clinical pain research). She is Associate Professor of Pain Management Research at Weill Cornell Medicine and Director of New Initiatives, Research Enterprise, at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City. She is Advisor for the Pain Prevention Research Center at HSS and Chair of the Analgesic, Anesthetic, and Addiction Clinical Trials, Translations, Innovations and Opportunities Network (ACTTION)’s Center on Patient and Stakeholder Engagement for Trial Innovation and Quality (COPASETIQ). In both preclinical animal models and across a variety of clinical contexts, Dale’s research has primarily focused on understanding interindividual variability in pain and optimizing pain-related outcome assessment and study design.
