Professor Emerita Cynthia Mitchell AO has a national and international reputation for her systemic, transdisciplinary work helping people and organisations in the water sector generate net positive (regenerative) outcomes.

She has been honoured with an AO (Officer of the Order of Australia) in 2024, becoming a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in 2012, a Fellow of Engineers Australia in 2012, and an Honorary Doctorate of Technology from Chalmers University in Sweden in 2007.

She is currently Chair of the Peter Cullen Trust for Water and Environment.
