Craig Hamilton is a Research Fellow at Birmingham City University. His research is built around The Harkive Project (http://harkive.org) and comprises experimental methodological approaches derived from the use of data collection and machine-learning algorithms. He is also the co-Managing Editor of Riffs: Experimental Writing on Popular Music (http://riffsjournal.org) and the Project Coordinator for the AHRC-funded Songwriting Studies Network (https://songwritingstudies.com). Outside of his academic work Craig continues to build on his 20 years of working in the business of popular music, as digital catalogue manager for Static Caravan Recordings (http://www.staticcaravan.org) and as a musician and recording artist with Independent Country (http://www.independentcountry.org).
