- Senior Lecturer in Podiatry, Cardiff Metropolitan University
I’m a Senior Lecturer in Podiatry, clinician, and science communicator with a passion for making lower limb health more visible, accessible, and better understood.
My academic role focuses on clinical biomechanics, gait analysis, sports injury, and healthcare education, with additional responsibility for developing CPD and short course provision for Allied Health Professionals. I’m actively involved in supervising a range of student-led podiatry clinics and contribute to teaching across the full curriculum, including functional anatomy, clinical assessment, gait analysis, pharmacology, and professional practice.
Increasingly, I use digital platforms to reach wider audiences including sharing practical, evidence-based insight on everything from performance-related foot and ankle injuries to more everyday issues like cracked heels, toenail problems, and foot pain in pregnancy. I aim to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and public understanding.
Whether it’s highlighting the role of foot function in athletic performance or helping people better manage common conditions, I focus on clear communication, preventative care, and raising the profile of lower limb health in both public and professional spaces.
I’m particularly interested in how biomechanics, movement science, and digital health communication intersect — and how this can be used to educate, inspire, and drive innovation in healthcare.
