Dr. Cornel Grey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Western University. His research examines Black queer life across health, intimacy and public culture. He is especially interested in how institutions, political discourse and popular culture shape experiences of race and sexuality.

His work has examined the effects of epidemics and public health responses on Black and queer communities, along with questions of touch, desire and care. His current research also explores queer Caribbean histories of HIV/AIDS, migration and diaspora.
