Corinne Le Quéré

Corinne Le Quéré is a Royal Society Research Professor of Climate Change Science at the University of East Anglia and a Fellow of the Royal Society. She conducts research on the interactions between climate change and the carbon cycle.

Professor Le Quéré is a member of the UK Climate Change Committee, an independent body that advises the UK government on climate change responses.

Previously, Professor Le Quéré was founding President of France's High Council on Climate (Haut conseil pour le climat). She also instigated and directed for 13 years the Global Carbon Budget, an annual update of carbon dioxide emissions and their partitioning among the atmosphere, land and oceans, under the umbrella of the Global Carbon Project. She was author of the 3rd, 4th and 5th Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which was awarded the Nobel peace prize in 2007.
