My research focuses on China's role in shaping energy access in Africa. Specifically, I investigate the connections between Chinese development finance and mine acquisitions in Africa, evaluate the impacts of large-scale energy infrastructure investment, and explore the spillover effects of Chinese clean technology exports on local communities. I am a Global China Fellow at Boston University Global Development Policy Center. Previously, I have worked at United Nations Development Programme in Mauritius & Seychelles country office and the World Bank Group in Washington D.C.
