- PhD candidate, Anthropology, Université de Montréal
I am currently a PhD student at the University of Montreal. I hold a Master’s degree in Primatology from the University of Antananarivo in Madagascar, which is also where I’m from.
My research has always focused on lemurs. For my Master’s thesis, I studied the mating season of ring-tailed lemurs. After completing my degree, I collaborated with GERP (Groupe d'Etude sur la Recherche des Primates) and WWF on a project assessing the vulnerability of lemurs to climate change. As part of this work, we followed silky sifakas (Propithecus candidus) in northeastern Madagascar to observe how they are adapting to changing environmental conditions.
For my PhD, my research focuses on the mother-infant relationship in ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta). I am particularly interested in using stable isotope analysis to determine the duration of lactation in this species.
