• Research Fellow in Science Communication, UNSW

Dr Cobi Calyx has more than a decade of experience working internationally in disaster response and risk reduction, environmental and emerging technologies governance, health promotion, inclusive design and science communication.

As a postdoc at UNSW she designed and convened courses in science leadership and environmental management, while a research fellow in science communication and guest lecturer in space governance. She changed to Honourary Senior Lecturer at UNSW to accept a government executive-level role.

During her PhD she was a Visiting Scholar at Melbourne Law School and taught in Masters courses in the University of Melbourne on interdisciplinarity, environment and global governance. In addition to a PhD she has postgraduate education and health promotion qualifications, as well as being a certified diver, firefighter and yoga teacher.
