I am an Associate Professor who leads an interdisciplinary team at the University of Leeds, researching virus-host interactions. We have a particular interest in emerging viruses spread by mosquitoes. These viruses represent an important class of infections that constitute an increasing threat to human and animal health. We aim to better understand the mechanisms by which these viruses causes disease, and how our immune system defends us against these infections.
