- PhD Candidate in Sustainable Mobility, University of Salford
My PhD considers the political, regulatory and commercial considerations for the implementation of sustainable mobility as a service system. This research includes exploring the barriers and challenges and understanding what MaaS means in practical terms for transport planners, policy makers, related businesses and users.
I have led the development of a Connected Autonomous Vehicle trials and deployment program; designed transport schemes that incorporate sustainable travel modes; managed multiple UK and European funded projects that utilised new technologies to improve local challenges including reducing emissions pollution and improving citizen engagement; written national and international position papers analysing new innovation and health and sustainable transport initiatives; and, inputted into regional transport strategies to ensure new technologies are considered when designing schemes to solve city region challenges.
Currently, I help academics and businesses collaborate on innovative projects that advance UK research and development.
