Claire Fox

(She/her)

Claire Fox is a senior lecturer in criminology at the University of Manchester. Claire's research and teaching expertise is grounded in understanding victimisation and harmful behaviour, particularly within typically marginalised and silenced groups. Her work has involved working with young people who have experience of the criminal justice system, are care experienced and/or who have been victimised. Recent research projects have included the PROMISE project, a €2.5 million project spread across 10 European countries, in addition to ones that have focused on ‘honour’-based abuse and forced marriage, and the victimisation of documented and undocumented migrants. Claire's teaching is primarily focused on areas relating to victimisation, and she has been awarded a Principal Fellowship from AdvanceHE in recognition of the work done in teaching, learning and leadership.
