Cinthia Pietromonaco is a PhD student in the School of Veterinary Science, under the supervision of the University of Sydney's Alison Peel. Her PhD on flying-fox diet and nutrition sits within her broader research interests of flying-fox health, habitat use, and behaviour, intending to improve conservation strategies and management efforts. Cinthia is an ecologist specialising in flying foxes and has spent the past four years working as a research assistant in the Australian Bat One Health team. She is also an active member of the Wildlife Disease Ecology group at Griffith University, the SEQ Flying-fox management working group, and the Flying-fox paralysis diagnostic and preparedness working group. Beyond academia, she is also a dedicated flying-fox rehabilitator.
