- PhD candidate, Durham University
BA in History from University College Dublin (2015), MA in History also from University College Dublin(2016). Currently a history PhD candidate in Durham University under a Leverhulme Trust studentship.
As a BA student I completed a thesis on 'The Catholic Church’s Construction and Influence of Youth Culture in Ireland in the 1960’s'. The following year as a MA student I turned my focus towards 19th Century Ireland and completed a thesis entitled 'Re-examining the Ladies’ Land League: Composition, Influence and Legacy.'
As a PhD student I have chosen to research women's movements in 19th Century Ireland and their use of petitioning as part of their political campaigns. Alongside this I am working with my supervisors Dr Richard Huzzey and Dr Henry Miller on the Petitions, Parliament and People project.
