Christine Schlesinger

Christine Schlesinger is a Professor of Environmental Science in the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods. She is based at Charles Darwin University’s desert campus in Alice Springs. Her research focuses on desert ecosystems with an emphasis on the ecology and conservation of arid zone fauna, the transformation of ecosystems by invasive, fire-promoting grasses, and on environmental and social justice issues in desert places.
