Associate Professor Christine Grice is a well-cited educational leadership researcher, philosopher and presenter, and author of three books. She coordinates the Bachelor of Advanced Studies at The University of Sydney.
Christine's research focuses on the practices of leading together in education in schools and school systems, with principals, middle leaders, teacher leaders and system leaders. Her work decentres school leadership as solo work. Christine has led and co-led numerous large scale research projects on school leadership that have directly informed policy and practice, including the AITSL standards for middle leaders, and NSW middle leadership role descriptions.
Her academic contribution, focused on collective leading and pedagogy, comes from 30 years of educational expertise in research, teaching, leadership and governance in schools and universities in Australia and the UK, including appointments as Head of School, Deputy Head, and Director of Curriculum.
