Christine A. Kray is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Rochester Institute of Technology. She is co-editor of *Nasty Women and Bad Hombres: Gender and Race in the 2016 US Presidential Election* (University of Rochester Press, 2018). A political anthropologist, she applies anthropological theory and research methods to the study of US presidential politics. She also continues her long-standing research on cultural dimensions of colonial and neocolonial power in southern Mexico and Belize. She and archaeological colleagues are working on a book on international dimensions of the Caste War of Yucatán (1847-1901), which began as a large-scale uprising of Yucatec Maya people against the descendants of the Spaniards.
