I am a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy. My research focuses on the lived experiences of people with long-term conditions, particularly Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Diabetes, and Chronic Pain. I develop and evaluate complex interventions that support lifestyle change and self-management in non-communicable diseases.

I have a strong interest in participatory and co-creation methods, working with patients, clinicians, and communities to design, adapt, and implement interventions that improve everyday function and quality of life.

Current projects include:
Co-creating behaviour change programmes to support lifestyle modification in PAD and IC (OPTIMA and CREATE)
Evaluating TENS and motivational interviewing to increase physical activity in PAD and IC (MAvERIC)
Exploring acceptance and self-management in chronic pain
Developing public health educational resources to support cardiovascular health (PrEPAID)

I am Co-Editor-in-Chief of Pain and Rehabilitation: The Journal of the Physiotherapy Pain Association, and I Chair the Scottish Consortium of CAHPR, supporting research leadership and culture across the allied health professions.
