I am an Associate Professor of Immunology in the department of Molecular Medicine and Pathology (in the School of Medical Sciences, at the University of Auckland) and my research focuses on the areas of haematopoiesis, immunity and drug discovery. The zebrafish is used by my group as a model system, offering powerful genetic and embryological experimental approaches. In particular my research exploits the genetic tractability and live imaging potential of this model system to provide unique insights into immune responses that are relevant to human disease.
