I am a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle researching models of the Sun’s global magnetic field. My work is motivated by the need to better understand the origin of the slow solar wind — a key driver of space weather events that can significantly impact Earth’s technological infrastructure.
Earlier this year, I visited NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and presented the findings of my recent publication in The Astrophysical Journal, supported by my winnings from the 2023 Three Minute Thesis University Finals. I’m passionate about science and the mysteries of space, and I hope my research will help us to better understand how the Sun influences the space environment around us.
