Chioma Okoro

Prof Okoro holds a PhD in Engineering Management, an MTech in Construction Management and a BSc in Estate Management. Her professional and research experience centres on sustainability in the Built Environment, particularly, real estate and facilities management. With over ten years of teaching experience, her contributions to student success culminated in the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2025.

She has authored more than 100 academic, peer-reviewed publications including journal articles, conference papers and book chapters. Her research areas are Innovations, Real Estate, Building and Facilities Management and Infrastructure Sustainability. She has editorial experience working with high-ranking journals, as Associate Editor (Journal of Engineering, Design and Technology, and Construction Economics and Building) and Guest Editor (Facilities, German Journal of Real Estate Research, and International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education). She serves as the Executive Director of the African Real Estate Society (AfRES).
