Rural societies remain underdeveloped despite intensive investment and all the best efforts of government, communities, leaders, individuals and other relevant stakeholders. This can often be disheartening.
Chinaza Uleanya, a postdoctoral researcher in the University of South Africa, draws inspiration from Nelson Mandela’s statement: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” His research in education aims to foster collaborations to better understand how education can contribute to development in rural societies and he therefore welcomes collaborations from various parts of the nation, continent and the globe.
