I am a public health researcher whose focus is on maternal and newborn health in sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular emphasis on the social and cultural factors affecting outcomes. I have an undergraduate degree in journalism (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), a master's degree in health behavior and health education (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), and a PhD in health services, management and policy (University of Michigan). I have been working with partners throughout Ghana since 2006.
