I am a 2024 Schmidt Science Fellow at the University of Cambridge. Working with spatial data collected by rangers across multiple African parks, I am using machine learning to identify patterns of poaching-related threats and ranger efforts and identify losses to rural communities due to improvements in ranger efficiency.

I have a background in Conservation Biology and have extensively researched wild meat extraction and use in tropical regions, focusing on pangolins: the world’s only scaly mammals and one of the most heavily trafficked animals on earth. I earned my PhD in Zoology from the University of Cambridge (2019-24) as a Gates Cambridge Scholar and completed my MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management at the University of Oxford (2018-19) under a Commonwealth Scholarship.
