Dr Cecilia Yejide Ojemaye bagged her PhD at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. She obtained her B.Sc. Chemistry from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Her research interests encompass analytical, environmental, food, and medicinal chemistry. Currently, her research focuses on monitoring, identifying, and quantifying contaminants of emerging concern in various environmental matrices. She has contributed to knowledge by the publication of 16 articles in quality journals and press releases, as well as 10 presentations at conferences and workshops. She worked in the industry for seven years as a Senior Laboratory Scientist and is also a member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), South African Chemical Institute (SACI), and the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA).
