Cathy Robinson

(she/her)
  • Principal Research Scientist, CSIRO

I am a Principal Research Scientist and Group Leader in the Agriculture and Food Sustainability Program at CSIRO. Over the past twenty years I led a variety of research projects focused on integrating locally defined rights and benefits into conservation, sustainable agriculture, and responsible AI and digital programs.

I am currently involved in the Healthy Country Digital Women Ranger program, supported by the Telstra Foundation. This initiative, guided by the Digital Boss Lady Governance Committee, fosters a collaborative network focused on co-designing digital inclusion pathways and practices that empowers women to tell and share stories about Country using data. The program has received multiple awards, supported various digital on-Country and peer-to-peer activities, and informed a range of ethical AI and digital technology policy discussions in Australia.
