As #TheTourismProfessor at Torrens University Australia, Catheryn Khoo is a globally recognized expert in travel and tourism. A recipient of Travel Weekly's prestigious Women in Travel Award, the Stevie Social Change Maker Silver Award, and listed among Stanford University’s Top 1% Scientists in Leisure and Tourism, Catheryn’s work champions socially sustainable change for marginalized individuals and communities, both working in and journeying through tourism.
With consulting experiences for the United Nations Tourism; and both public and private sector tourism, she drives pioneering research on positive tourism outcomes for governments, tourism businesses, and tourism research centres. She was a judge for Australia's Queensland Tourism Awards for three consecutive years. She was one of the four consultants who co-wrote the Global Report on Women in Tourism; and the lead consultant for the Regional Report on Women in Tourism in Asia and the Pacific. She is Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Management Perspectives, ranked A+ in the Australian Deans Business Council.
Catheryn is an experienced keynote speaker at international tourism events, including the World Travel Market (WTM), ITB and the International Tourism & Investment Conference.
