Carolyn Wilson-Nash

I am a Senior Lecturer in Marketing & Retail at the University of Stirling, where I teach Research Methods and Consumer Behaviour. My research examines how consumers and citizens adopt and live with digital technology, and how the digital transformation of everyday services shapes their well-being and inclusion, particularly for older and more vulnerable people. I have investigated digital innovation across webpages, mobile applications, social media and FMCG, and adoption among older adults, people living with long-term conditions, and those in palliative care, increasingly within health and social care settings. My recent work explores whether technology can relieve the loneliness felt by older adults and how they develop coping strategies for everyday devices, alongside studies of digital 'captivity' in service access and inclusive technological innovation in care.
