Carmen Perez-Esparrells

Currently, she is Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Public Finance at Autonomous University of Madrid. After a period of one year in the Spanish Ministry of Public Finance (as Associate Researcher in the Institute for Fiscal Studies, she has served at managerial positions within UAM (Vice-rector for Innovation, Coordinator of the Master Program in Economic Development and Public Policies and Vice-dean for Internships). She has held the position of President in the Spanish Society of Economics of Education (AEDE, 2014-2016).
Her research comprises higher education policy and management at national, international and institutional levels. Her present research interests focus on university funding, tuition fees, fundraising, university rankings, university social responsibility and knowledge transfer and innovation.
