Carlos Dionisio Pérez Blanco

I am R4 Researcher at IMDEA Water, where I am Coordinator and Principal Investigator of the WaterTheft (ERC CoG), TRANSCEND (Horizon Europe), TALANOA-WATER (H2020) and NATURA (Spanish Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia) projects, and Principal Investigator in the projects MARCLAIMED and NATURA (Next Generation) projects. I am a successful awardee of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie, the AXA Research Fund, Fulbright-Schuman, and Ikerbasque fellowships. I lead a group of 11 researchers at USAL and I am coordinator of Water Future's Economic Instruments of Water Security Working Group, an international network of 25 renowned scientists co-developing the pioneering Global Water Assessment. I have published extensively in major international peer-reviewed multi-disciplinary journals with impact factor, including top-field journals such as Nature Sustainability. All these achievements have been matured in the 10 years since I completed my PhD, which received the highest possible distinctions (summa cum laude and PhD Extraordinary Award 2016).
