Associate Professor Carissa Bonner is a behavioural scientist working in public health. Her research explores how to communicate health risks and support health literacy needs. She is Chief Editor of the academic journal Health Literacy & Communication Open, Deputy Director of the Sydney Health Literacy Lab at the University of Sydney, and scientific advisor to the Heart Foundation, Australian Government, and World Health Organization.
