Capucine Coustere

Capucine Coustere has a PhD in sociology and is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute for Research on Migration and Society (Concordia University, Canada). She is also an affiliate researcher in the Bridging Divides (BD) project, an associate member of the CELAT, and a member of the pan-Canadian Pathways to Prosperity (P2P) alliance. Her work focuses on migration governance and on its effect on migrants’ trajectories and experiences in Canada, Quebec and France. She is especially interested in privileged migration, youth migration, and in temporary migration. In her FRQSC-funded postdoctoral research, she examines the implementation of the many bilateral agreements that link France and Quebec to facilitate migration to each other's territory.

Capucine Coustere détient un doctorat en sociologie et est actuellement chercheuse postdoctorale à l'Institut de recherche sur les migrations et la société (Université Concordia, Canada). Elle est également chercheuse affiliée au projet Bridging Divides, au CELAT et membre de Voies vers la prospérité. Son travail porte sur la gouvernance migratoire et ses effets sur les trajectoires et les expériences des personnes migrantes au Canada, au Québec et en France. Elle s'intéresse particulièrement aux migrations privilégiés et jeunes, ainsi qu'à la migration temporaire. Sa recherche postdoctorale, financée par le FRQSC examine la mise en oeuvre des nombreux accords qui relient la France et le Québec pour faciliter les mobilités réciproques.
