- Lecturer in Geodynamics and Tectonics, University of Canterbury
My research is driven by the question, "how can we stop people dying in earthquakes?" My background is in physics and applying this to earthquakes, but answering this question has also led me to investigate the social factors involved in seismic hazard. I am also interested in how we can make research in general, and Earth Sciences in particular, more equitable, just and inclusive.
